Description of work:
Support the effective realization of the local energy plans through the broadly based training actions aimed at the designated target groups.

Tasks:
Task 5.0 The awareness campaign, on the other hand (led by SOS), will be, with periods of lesser and higher intensity, 8-month long with a punctual support from the other partners.  The campaigns will be led by various means including:
  • Producing and broadcasting radio spots, local TV ads,
  • Producing and publishing articles in specialized publications, Web page announcements
  • Jumbo posters along the highly public areas and/or major crossroads within the cities.
  • Oriented at the designated target groups and focused on different contents under the central theme : "encouragement of energy citizenship" such as for instance
  • Drive less, walk more
  • The concept of Smart EE Houses
  • Agriculture: "Efficient Irrigation", "Use of alternative fuels", etc.
  • Industry: Energy efficiency as a way of cost reduction", Energy supply from RE sources.
  • Administration: "Responsible use of energy"
Campaigns will be held on the territory by the partners LEA Pomurje, Karlovo, APEC and Koncar with a primarily local and sub-regional focus, leaving only the most prominent actions for a higher level dissemination.

Task 5.1 RE course with 2 levels, each with a series of different independent sub modules, organized by USAL and directed at the university graduates and lower level specialists
       Higher level course for those, for example, with a university degree: engineers and similar (students), energy management (6 months theory & practical case studies). The implementation period of the course is 6 months. If necessary, this system can be modified to account for the local differences. If possible to organize, the practical cases which form the part of the course will be carried out under the supervision of the 4 core partners (LEA Pomurje, Karlovo, REDEA, APEC) with the collaboration of the local enterprises)
  • Lower level course: Energy audit technician and RE energy installer, same 8 month  system but with the following specifications
  • Not a university course.
  • Certificate awarded upon the completion of the course.
  • Performed on afternoons and/or weekend in order to permit its completion by the Professionals.
The promotion will be inations. The international training courses will be organized by the University of Salamanca, Polytechnic school of Zamora. The lecturer (from the University of Salamanca/APEC) will be available part time to the trainees in the frame of the 6 months e-training course duration. The other partners will be responsible for animation and recruiting of potential trainees on the national leveling order to motivate participation at the international courses.
  • The courses including the study material will be prepared by USAL.
  • Both e-training courses will be prepared and executed in English language.
  • No translation of course(s) materials as of exams into national languages is provided.
  • Precondition for joining of trainees from participating countries to the University of Salamanca, Polytechnic school of Zamora course will be accomplishment with English.
  • Generic course: APEC, Lea Pomurje  REDEA, Karlovo prepared by USAL
  • Advanced course: APEC, REDEA, Lea Pomurje, Karlovo, prepared by USAL.

The University of Salamanca (Polytechnic School of Zamora) will award an official university certificate to all students that pass the courses successfully. The certificate has a quality of internationally recognized certificate (Titulo propio de la Universidad de Salamanca, Escuela Politecnica Superior Zamora) that will be designed to serve for the purposes of the students from all the participant countries. That is to say, each student's certificate will be recognized as a university certificate in all the participating countries. 

Expected attendance: Course 1:  5-8 attendants; Course 2: 10-14 attendants. The number given is attendants per course, having in mind that we are talking about numbers foreseen for the first enrolment. After the initial interest the number of attendees is expected to rise. Long-term agreements will be elaborated locally in order to assure that the courses will be offered even after the project has finished.

Task 5.2 is set on the realization of open workshops aimed at the SME sector
  • Spain, SIovenija, Croatia and Bulgaria.
  • 2 day duration, attendance: 15-20 SMEs (per country).
  • Expert lecturers.
  • Topics: RE, EE savings benefits, market benefits, legal regulations, pros and cons, etc

Outcome of this work package:
Overall outcome of the present objective will be the resolution of the last detected barrier on the local level and effective closure of the current training gap when it comes to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
